Brick ETC is a career exploration platform founded by Brick School of Architecture to help young adults understand different professional paths before committing to them. The platform is designed for students who are either finishing school or navigating uncertainty about their next steps offering structured exposure to industries through curated content and practitioner-led insights.

Following the UX Design Workshop at Brick Enthuva, feedback around my teaching approach and ability to break down complex ideas led to an invitation to collaborate with Brick ETC. The goal was to design and deliver an introductory UX curriculum that could help students understand what User Experience Design actually means in practice.

The Opportunity

When students hear the term UX design, it is often misunderstood reduced to screens, tools, or aesthetics. The opportunity here was not to teach UX as a skillset, but to demystify the field:

This curriculum needed to act as a career lens, not a training program helping learners decide whether UX was a path they wanted to pursue.

Curriculum & Delivery

Curriculum & Delivery

The outcome of this work was a curated UX primer hosted on Brick ETC, delivered through recorded sessions designed for self-paced exploration. The curriculum introduces learners to the scope of UX design, its practice in real-world settings, and the range of roles within the field.

Rather than positioning UX as a destination, the course acts as a starting point helping learners build informed curiosity and decide whether the field aligns with their interests and strengths. Students are also encouraged to reach out for guidance, bridging structured content with mentorship.
